Don’t get a blackberry. They don’t work as well and At&t will whack you with (I’m not exaggerating) 300 “data transfer” fees. Which will actually make your plan around $350, basic plan. I switched to an iphone and I’m so happy with it. My bill comes in and it’s basically the same every month. No extra fees, no surprises.
Plus the blackberry internet application is a joke, most websites don’t even show up/work. The iphone is WAY better!

Wow. Well, this doesn’t help my decision at all…

The other thing to remember is that there ARE other ways of getting so-called “visual voicemail”. Most self-respecting voicemail plans have something comparable that enables one to access messages directly from a pda (like gotvmail and “play it on mobile”). Of course, this will only apply to business users like myself who use their pda as one item in a lengthy and convoluted communication chain.

Aside from that, it really all comes down to interface preference.

Hank: Looks like Doug corrected the mistake. I really blame his sources for misleading him.

Other than that – I think that the iPhone 3G draw will suck at the BlackBerry users rather than the Everyday Consumers, since it’s an easy switch for a BlackBerry user regarding price (i.e. no extra charge) whereas if you’re an everyday user, you have to pay MORE to get it!

AT&T did NOT included unlimited SMS on iPhone v1.0. Their package came with unlimited DATA and 200 SMS.

Those watermarks could be so easily Photoshopped … they should really be bigger and go over the text, but be very transparent … like 5% or 10%
