Future Shop launched an application today that not only lets you browse FutureShop.ca’s catalog, but also nabs your credit card info through the BlackBerry Wallet app for online purchaces. Odds are if own a BlackBerry on your own accord, you’re probably the type to spend a fair bit of time checking out Future Shop, too – it’s just a bonus to have all the convenience of online gadget shopping on your handheld. It’s really cool to see more vendors plugging into the Wallet application, something Bplay kicked off with their 30%-off 4th. of July sale… I wonder how many more will hop on the bandwagon?

Can’t get this too work. I get a connection refused error. Anyone else?
Make sure you have javascript enabled, and your default browser is set to ‘internet browser’. Should be fine then.
I get connection refused too…
Hey Atom, Don’t forget to check the system requirements, I will assume that your also in Canada. Future Shop only has locations in Canada. It wouldn’t do you much use unless you live here.
I installed iy on mine, I haven’t been havinbg any issues. What i like about it the most is that its fast.
I installed this damn app a while ago, and when I went to uninstall it (because I rarely ever used it — actually I think I only used it once), it removed the app, but left a Futureshop icon that links to the futureshop.ca website through the Browser app!
Short of hiding it, I have found NO way of removing it altogether. That really pisses me off!
If anyone knows a way to fully remove it, I’d be happy to hear a solution.
Btw, the app is names something like ecommerce_something in the Application Loader. There is no other reference to that or “futureshop” in the app list before or after removing it. I just want to get rid of this god-forsaken icon!
I have the same problem. Anyone?
nevermind.
go into your browser bookmarks.
it was in a folder called browser channels or something like that on my phone.
delete the bookmark and voila.
