WebMessenger
The one thing that leaped out at me for WebMessenger were the custom canned messages. If you’re on the move, odds are good that you’ll be unable to talk, and having a few quick messages ready to go is great for not coming off as gruff with short replies. WebMessenger also has a status bar along the bottom that not only alerts you to new messages, but also tells you when new friends come online or go offline. As good as the canned messages are, the real kicker is that this is geared towards enterprise. Check out our podcast with them to see how WebMessenger plugs into Microsoft OCS.

IM+
Another big name in the game is IM+ – they’ve got the same great canned messages as WebMessenger, only it comes preloaded with a whole batch, rather than making you build up a list from scratch. IM+ also features the same kind of SMS options as Instango, which is handy. There’s a unique version of IM+ for Skype, letting save on your voice calls, too.
