Disappointing. I asked them about this at WES and they had no answer. I use Picasa as my primary photo sharing app since it's easy to export from Lightroom right out to Picasa. Flickr is ok, but I would prefer not to use it. However, as soon as the Flickr app came out on BlackBerry I setup an account and it really helps keep your Curve from running out of memory on long trips. Upload it, share it, delete it.

Google has done a great job with mobile apps thus far. Picasa is a whole different story, it is a fairly large and complex program and has no use on a phone. Are people really going to import photos to Picasa, reduce red eye, fix color, and resize just to upload a shot to Facebook or their blog? If RIM would include a basic program to resize, crop, and save a photo, that is all that a user would need.
Flickr would make more sense, allowing a user to upload an image directly to Flickr, and do some very basic image manipulation.
Another thought - Google Panoramio trumping picasa? Do you even know what Picasa or Panoramio does? They do not overlap in features whatsoever.
