Competition is good for business and keeps major telecoms from cutting corners. Seriously considered Verizon because a family member is employed by them and I could've had a plan at 1/2 price. Guess what. Sprint's SEP is STILL less $$$'s than a Verizon plan at 1/2, and I get a couple more options such as SprintTV, Sprint Music, etc. included in the plan. Nobody else can touch the Simply Everything plans and they are the reason I decided to give BB a try. Without the SEP I would be using an iPhone from AT&T instead of my 8330 Curve from Sprint and I never would have known how nice it is to own a Berry. I would pay substantially more per month on both Verizon and AT&T so I would rather put up with bad customer service for the few times I need it and save $1200.00 over the life of my contract. Besides, the other companies don't have sterling reputations either. I know John seems to like Verizon but every time I see a story about the company (or a review of any phone they have in common with another carrier, 8330 anyone?) it talks about how they cripple their handsets so they can sell their customers features other providers include for free.
