You do know that the people attacking Sprint in the lawsuits and articles are in fact the lobbyists for the major telecoms like AT&T and Verizon.
They want Sprint out of the game as quick as possible so they would be forced to sell their technology and infrastructure.

Sprint is actually helping to make your phone carrier better. Competition is good for business and keeps major telecoms from cutting corners.

The morale of the story is: be wary of companies who rather say another sucks then they are better

Like Justin I went with Sprint for the BB and the SEP. Seriously considered Verizon because a family member is employed by them and I could've had a plan at 1/2 price.

Guess what. Sprint's SEP is STILL less $$$'s than a Verizon plan at 1/2, and I get a couple more options such as SprintTV, Sprint Music, etc. included in the plan. Also, I would've had to purchase the BB at full price.

I've been a satisfied customer of Sprint's for about 7 yrs now.

I know Sprint doesn't have the best customer service but they do have the best plans by far. Nobody else can touch the Simply Everything plans and they are the reason I decided to give BB a try. Without the SEP I would be using an iPhone from AT&T instead of my 8330 Curve from Sprint and I never would have known how nice it is to own a Berry. I would pay substantially more per month on both Verizon and AT&T so I would rather put up with bad customer service for the few times I need it and save $1200.00 over the life of my contract.

Besides, the other companies don't have sterling reputations either. I know John seems to like Verizon but every time I see a story about the company (or a review of any phone they have in common with another carrier, 8330 anyone?) it talks about how they cripple their handsets so they can sell their customers features other providers include for free. A recent poll on speaks to my point: 95% of people asked said they thought Verizon would cripple the Thunder in some way.

John,

No such luck. In fact, recent word suggests that Sprint has finally realized how much of a cash-cow Nextel can be, and has commissioned RIM to make a iDen Curve. Check out the info here:

It couldn't happen to a nicer company. Nice phones but the worst customer service in the industry. Meybe Nextel will be sold to Verizon?
