Good point, but a mention in an IT Policy guide is still pretty far away from promoting or featuring the device in any way.

I wonder: are they concerned about hyping a device that they’re not sure will succeed? The Pearl 8220 is a low-end, mass consumer grab, which is new for RIM…

For the record, I think it will be a pretty big success.

RIM “officially acknowledged” the 8220… at least per the BES v4.16 – Policy Reference Guide that has been out since the v4.1 SP6 release anyway…

The 8220 has been listed in the BES IT policy guide which was updated for BES V4.1’s SP6 release.
