If some nefarious character sends the victim an infected Office document, it is likely that DocsToGo will open it just fine ignoring the malware payload. However when the victim syncs with their Windows desktop, the BB introduces the payload directly onto the computer bypassing the typical entry point at the firewall or mail server. In a layered defense strategy, anything that the malware writer can do to penetrate beyond the hardened perimeter is a bonus.

It just makes heuristic detection that much more important on the desktop if zero day exploits can now be delivered via BB.
