Excellent information. That would sbout right with what I have been getting told lately for a release of the 18th. They are really cutting it close to the christmas season. I dont’ think this is really of concern to them though as I have heard that there is only a limited quantity of the device available for the launch approx 4000 units Canada wide the Telus rep I had spoke with had said.

The “Storm” may not be available for 7 – 10 days after December 8th.
According to a “BestBuy” manager … Blackberry found a defect in a component that causes the “Storm” to revert to “default” after a few days of usage and being turned on and off.
According to that store manager the “Storm” lloses all email and other “settings” due to this bad “chip” … so “Storms” that were shipped are being returned and replaced as quickly as possible … but it is unlikely they will be in stores until at least the 15th.

In regards to my post yesterday

I am now hearing Telus is pushing back until the 18th but there is a lot of rumour on that one as each store seems to say something different.
I also heard though that until Christmas they will be offering the handset to be purchased out right for $599.99

I always keep with the best cellphones that come out

Dec 8th is the 90% firm release date on the storm.
No contract $649.99 and under a 3 year term $299.99

I wish it would just hurry up and get here, I need to do some Christmas shopping……for myself HA!

The BlackBerry Storm will launch with the BlackBerry Facebook application, which will essentially let you use your Facebook account on your BlackBerry (with a few limitations). You can learn more about that here:

Ok, thanks. I’ve read several articles and reviews abt the Storm and most of them mention you will recieve message alerts from Facebook sent directly to the Storm but I havent heard anything about MySpace. Do u know the Storm will recieve message alerts from your MySpace acct?

Hey there! We just posted today on some possible pricing information. At Verizon, you could be looking at as low as $220 on a two year contract. No word yet on pricing information for Telus or Bell.

I have tried the simulator and it is way cool. This helped me understand how the Blackberry Storm will work. I have read post about it being $199.00, $99.00 and even maybe free with a 2 year contract. I just hope it is not more then $199.00

Wondering if you can put your own full movies on it like I do on my Ipod. I know with a 18GB SD card it won’t hold alot but it would be nice.

I’m a guy with big fingers and even though i didn’t have much trouble with the iPhone the Storm comes out stronger with it’s larger keys. So the one thing you’ll have to ask yourself is 1) Have you tried SureType and like it? 2) Are you comfortable enough to tap on a flat screen.
