We told you on Friday that the iDEN BlackBerry Curve 8350i was going to be released at the dirt cheap price of $150 (on a 2 year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate), and now we have some visual confirmation for you, via a promotional flyer from a 3rd-party Sprint dealership. We can also now tell you to expect the push-to-talk BlackBerry on December 1st, just in time for Christmas.
You can see the full flyer after the jump. Thanks for the tip, helpful anonymous dude!

would of been nice if everyone would of read my comment were i said it wasnt going to be released until dec 1st with online only availablity. Thanks alot bb cool readers for listening to me.
Great…. another delay. We’ll never see this phone in reality… by the time it comes out someone else will have something better. I give up…. Verizon really needs to get it together. A great exclusive phone isn’t any good if everyone else has it beat before it even gets released.
Hey ROB…..quit dickwaving…you’re nt the end all be all…IF you’re so damn good, START A BLOG OF YOUR OWN!!!
i second the person above me. jeez.
im stoked on the phone coming but how do i order it online???
Order @ Sprint .com
When can you order from sprint? Is it still dec. 1?
tomorrow I called and placed my order
Nutter…who’d you call??
Does anyone know if this phone will have picture-text capabilities… MMS? That is the only thing that has kept me from purchasing the (already out) Curve 8330…
yes they have it posted on bb.com
The new release date is December 15th. And that is an official date. Sorry, but we all must wait another 2 weeks.
Hey:
I would like advice on which phone to purchase:
Should it be the Blkbry Storm w/ VERIZON or the 8530i Blkbry with SPRINT?
I could really use some help on this one because I’m a Entertainment Manager and need Video and Picture capabilities and file storage, etc. I now own the BlkJack and it sucks!!!!
doctor frankenstein how do you no that??? i hear its decenber 1st from many many ppl.
work for sprint, Dec 1 official
Hear December 15th as well from Sprint yesterday. It will most likely change again. Talked to Sprint again today and said no date…. figures
Hey TerrileeS: if you can hold out…pick up the 8350i. I wish I did, but then again i’m getting the Storm from Verizon. For me…timing is critical since i’m flying down to Puerto Rico and a few other states over the next few months. Also, fed up with Sprint starting rumors (about an early 2008 release) and officializing it for near XMAS. Their Blackberry 7100i (the latest and greatest) has been offered sine 2005, when most mobile providers upgrade their line at least once every year or year and a half. They probably just wanted to milk the product for R&D recapture OF profits WHILE being too frugal on their contract negotiations with RIM
I tried out Sprint’s 8330 for a month (the trial period) and swapped over to boost: i loved everything about THE 8330…except it lacked chirp and i knew Blckberry had better products coming out for Verizon, Sprint-Nextel, and AT&T: it BECAME more a race to see who dropped what first and what came features came included after my i870 (release a week after the 7100i and dscontinued/replaced by the i880 7 months later) circuit board cracked in AUG 2008. i coulda bought the i335 without a 2 yr contract in Best Buy for 1/2 the price they sold it at Sprint with a contract and had it activated on my Nextel account (same sim card capatability…a cuz of mine did it)…but why when Sprint switched me over to the unlimited $100 plan, they couldn’t bring up my legacy free incoming plan with unlimited chirp for $60 (also discontinued). I wasnt going to pay for services i will not be able to use on the i335 (b/c of data plan limitations) or 8330 (chirp limitations) based on product technology, and i won’t commit to a contract for a product that not worth it (any other nextel phone not comparable to a new blackberry or that could will be eclipsed by the competition).
The bottom line is that the product will be awesome: VERY comparable in capabilities as the Storm (excluding the touch screen, there is a trackball to navigate the cursor like a mouse and you can also upgrade with a microSDHC card to 8gb or 16 gb on storage); the customer retention policy regarding product rotation plans and tech support (exmple: Sprint’s programming flaw on the Novatel v710) need to be redefined and actually developed (sorry, that was personal). For my Blackberry, i need to keep in touch as an accountant and consultant (so i cant hold out any much longer for the Nextel Curve), but i also need some fun in my life after a 9-5 which is where the chirp comes in (Boost Mobile vs Southern Co Wireless b/c Nextel sucks since the Sprint acquisition).
JUST RELEASE IT ALREADY!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!
I’ve talked to diffrent people in Sprint and I’ve gotten dates for the 1st, 15th, and today the 16th. GO FIGURE!!! by the way Greg how can I order on sprint.com
i heard the 12, i doubt that will be final.
also those who are still on nextel and still want this phone when it comes out don’t get an extended warranty, ever since sprint took over there is now a rule, if your screen breaks it’s concreted “physical damage” and will not replace your phone (like my i880).
Spoke to a rep. today, and got a different date than yesterday. They have told me a total of four different dates in December… Getting to be a joke….
Hey guys.
I answer the phones when people call Sprint, and wanted to let you know what we really know…. nothing. That’s the reason you get different dates all the time, people are guessing. The only fact that we have been told for sure is that it will be released in time for Christmas. As soon as I receive a real date, I will post it for you
will be reliesed on the 15th of this month acording to BB
I called Sprints help line and after about 8 transfers (I asked a technical question about my current phone) I talked to a guy name Rick. Rick told me he has been working for Sprint for about a year and knew a little bit about the 8350i phone. First off he said he got to hold the 8350i for about 5 seconds during a big corporate meeting. He said the meeting was quit transparent. It was organized to boost morale for the Nextel guys in the office and shop. In the meeting they (Sprint executives) claimed that Sprint would be rolling out a working model of the 8350i before the end of August. Since that meeting only his boss’s boss got a 8350i. Rick said he keeps it in a locked draw in his office and it has become kind of a office joke. Since Sprint can’t get any more 8350i the technical support guys have been training on a computer simulated model. The other day Rick got an inter office memo demanding that there will be no more jokes about the 8350i release date. The joke the memo said were “in poor taste”. Well there you go fokes, Sprint has lied to us again. Maybe there will be phones available by 12/15/08 but probably not. For all those who doubt me – I remember months before the instinct came out Sprint had posters, fliers, and plastic mock up models – DO YOU REMEMBER? I haven’t seen any fliers or mock ups of the 8350i, I wonder why? Nextel is like the chairs on the Titanic, there slowly going under.
I just found 2 of bb 8350i on ebay for sale how do these people get these and sell them before there released they have pictrues and one guy has 100% feedback selling them 499.00 buy it now
Great news guys, it’s official:
