Did you get a BlackBerry Storm today?

Following up on our post that Verizon stores in the SoCal area were getting a limited stock of BlackBerry Storms, we wanted to check in on our friends down south and see how things are going. Have you been able to get a BlackBerry Storm? Were there many in stock? Which stores seem to be packed full, and which ones should be avoided? Were the Verizon employees helpful or did you have to concuss a few to get your new touchscreen BlackBerry?

Think of this as a public service for all our fellow Storm Chasers in the BlackBerry Nation. Post a comment and give us the scoop, and hopefully you can help someone else have a Happy Storm Day.

I was the LAST accepted pre-order at W.Hollywood bestbuy on 11/15 and walked in at 9.30am on 11/21 and was first to walk out of the store with one in hand. I think I got lucky.

I left BB to go to the VZW store (that coincidentally did not ever give me a call even though I was placed on their “list”) just to grab a car charger and was given attitude by two VZ employees standing outside of their store with clipboards trying to get me to stand in a line. I showed him I already had the phone and he still wouldn’t let me in. Verizon store employee’s have CONSISTENTLY been awful but that’s beside the point.

I like the phone, and yes the little bugs and slowness will likely be fixed shortly, but I am NOT adjusting well to having to type slower.

I was a power-typer on my Curve and ultimately want the Bold for the physical keypad but Verizon in all their glory won’t be showing that model for at least another 6 months.

I have had the phone for almost 4 days now and am totally comfortable with using it, just trying to decide if I need to take it back and rejoice with my Curve, and its keypad.

Luckily my rep is a good guy and kept in touch with me all last week. Friday morning he called me around
6:30 to tell me there was no line but they were going
To open early. I got the first one and they sold out in about 45 minutes.
