I had a blackberry curve and upgraded to a IPhone. I had it for a week and I'm not impressed at all. So I'm Glade They Gave Me 15 Days To Return It. So now I can go get the BLACKBERRY BOLD. I hate to say this but it's the truth, you have to be wiser to understand the BB/Bold. No mistake abought it, do you have a BOLD BRAIN or a APPLE BRAIN. If you pcked Apple your BRAIN is going to get mussey, and if you picked the BOLD your BRAIN is going to get BOLDER. {AND THATS A FACT.]

It's amusing reading the obviously iPhone biased reviewers. The Bold is a rock solid device.

Blackberries biggest issue is not their hardware it's advertising and getting people to know that they DO have software. Apple recently ran a full page add in USA Today showing some of the Apps. Well a good 80% of them are already on Blackberry! Rim should come out with an add showing the same damn thing and go toe to toe with Apple. Apple has zero exclusive deals so technically 90% of those titles can be made for blackberry if developers were so included.

The larger issue is presently the bulk of stuff in the "AppStore" is worthless to most business people and really is focused on entertainment as that is the core of iPhone - an entertainment / media device that is email capable. Blackberry is the opposite. Different users - different needs.

And please don't try and convince me how great iPhone is at email as it's like comparing a walkman to a full HiFi system. A Blackberry attached to the latest BES is so far ahead of what ActiveSync provides it's not even worth mentioning.

Hey you didn't call it the T1, sorry, the reviewer at eWeek called it the T1. No need to fret, sorry, it seems that I did direct at you, my bad.

I have a Bold and an iPhone, one is for work and one is for personal use. Now I do not see these devices as direct competitors in any way. Let me say this though, Apple has done a sterling job of making the UI the best in the business. My 76 year old mother could drive an iPhone competently within a couple of minutes of playing, there is no way she could do the same with the Bold. My phones already have more features than I know what to do with, phone features are the modern equivalent of "who's got the biggest...".

Make it easy to use, make it accessible, make it simple and the users will beat a path to your door...and the sales numbers prove it. So does the number of after-market themes out there.

Its all about useability, not, enterprise features any more.

I agree with you that RIM and carriers could do a better job of educating the consumer, but have you read the reviewer's title? He's "Senior Technical Analyst" for the site. You would think he would know about themes or even the difference between a theme and an OS.

@Quinn

Did I call it the T1? Jeez I hope not. I'm trying to find where I would have said that. Send me a link and I'll correct.

Kyle, I am with you, that review is ridiculous. I am not new to the blackberry (went from a 7290 to a 8700 to a 9000), regardless though the review is wrong in a variety of areas. I won't go into detail about which parts but anyone who uses a blackberry for the claimed 5 months as in the review would know. Also just on a side note, the new Android based T-Mobile is the G1, not the T1.

Kyle...that's the problem with the Blackberry. It's too difficult to use. You know about the themes because your work forces you to know everything about the blackberry. From the average users perspective...its hard. Chalk about another win for the iPhone.
