In these tough economic times, it’s encouraging to hear that at least one company is looking to hire. The Financial Post is reporting that RIM is looking to hire more than 1,250 new employees, mostly in product development and R&D. The main reason for the employee push? The growing pains of launching 4 new BlackBerrys in as many months.
“For the past three or four years, RIM has done the same thing companies like Nokia are doing now with a fraction of the workforce… Right now, for every engineer who is promoted, RIM is hiring two or three to replace them.”
RIM currently has around 10,000 employees. You can check out the latest posted RIM jobs at our BlackBerry Jobs page.
