Alex,

I have been using Youmail on my Verizon BB Curve 8330 for almost a year now, and I'm a huge fan. I just upgraded to the latest release (2.0.0.1 i think), and I wanted to ask about a feature from the older version (.96 or something) that doesn't seem to have made it into this latest version. In the old version, the inbox list on my phone would have a red or green bar next to the message that would indicate whether or not the audio had already been downloaded. Has this been removed?

Also, not sure if it's just me, but it seems like it's harder to tell which messages are New vs Listened To, as the only indication is the bold lettering. I want to say that I recall this distinction in the older version being significantly more clear...

Would appreciate hearing back when you have a moment. Keep up the great work!!!

It's really an Alltel/Verizon problem. When a call gets forwarded to YouMail, we need to have the wireless carrier provide "signaling" that includes the OCN (originally caller number). We use that number to map to your mailbox (the OCN is your number - the one people called - which is your account number at YouMail).

If the carrier doesn't provide it, there's nothing we can do at this point. And Alltel historically hasn't provided it, and seems to be slowly providing it as they upgrade their telephone switches in their network to Verizon's usual standards. We can't tell where it works or doesn't work until people forward calls to our platform.

Hi!
Why are some Alltel / Verizon users getting the "Please enter your 10 digit number" when the callers who are not in their contact list call? Is there anything we can do to get Verizon to change this because according to the help section of your site - it is something on their end. It looks like they have allowed it in plenty of areas and not in others... I am in Raleigh, NC. Is there anything I can do?

I am using YouMail for my VOIP but cannot get it to work with Alltel / Verizon. I even opened a separate account with the cell separately to see if that would work to no avail. Thanks for any help you can offer!

PS: I am so impressed that the CEO is answering questions in this forum!

Please send an e-mail to marketing AT youmail.com with your contact info. You'll get a call back right after that. I'm sorry if there was a delay with support - usually prosupport @ youmail.com gets responses back within an hour or so and they'll help you solve the problem.

As for the YouMail Dropbox issue, we'll need a bit more detail (what do you mean by go straight to trash?).

Thanks.

Alex,

I have been having a problem with the dropbox for over a month now. I forward my Google voice messages to the dropbox but they go straight to trash. I am an annual subsriber and have called and emailed the premium support and have not received a resolution to this problem in about a month. This problem started after I had to change my mobile phone number. Can you help get this escalated. As it stands now I am getting no better support than a free user.

Thanks,

Hi,
I am excited to use this app. I have AT&T and BB Pearl. I have downloaded app, but continue to get the connection error message. I called AT&T and had them reset my APN. When I look at my APN settings through TCP, there is nothing there. Should I have something specific there? I am not using BB at work, so there is no issue there and I can access the internet fine. In fact, AT&T says that if I can access the internet, then my APN settings are correct.

Please help.
