Jabra BT8030 Bluetooth stereo headset/speakers reviewed

Comments

In looking for some good quality stereo Bluetooth headphones for my HTC Touch Pro, I stumbled onto the Jabra BT8030 headset which turned out to be, in my opinion, the best headphones I’ve ever used. Seriously. These things are absolutely luxurious — they pair with any Bluetooth enabled devices (mobile phone, PC, media player, etc.) like a breeze, come with ZIRENE audio enhancement, and can be used in headset mode, speakerphone mode, handsfree, and can be unfolded to transform into some really cool speakers!

THE GOOD

The sound? AWESOME. Seriously. I was so blown away by the sheer awesome sound of these headphones in both headphone mode and in speaker mode. It paired amazingly easily, and the switch from headphone to speaker was really intuitive and well designed. I found the buttons on the sides to be quite conveniently located and easy to feel what the buttons were with your finger tips.

THE BAD

Though they looked really bulky at first, they really did grow on me when I tried them on and found them to be really comfortable… at first. After about an hour they started to feel a little too snug. They didn’t quite pinch, but I found that I had to take them off to let my head breathe after a while. They’re also quite pricey. But I’d say absolutely worth buying them on sale – hard to beat $149.95 for these headphones. They’re definitely worth that much.

CONCLUSION

You’re right. I love giving out gold stars. Who doesn’t love a nice, shiny gold star? These headphones, though, deserve the 4 star rating. Sure, they’re a bit bulky, but you’ll get used to it, trust me. Plenty of awesome headphones could double as ear warmers. These ones just look a bit cooler while doing it.
