Google Search for BlackBerry now uses voice search. I put it on my BlackBerry Storm 9530 and it recognizes speech fairly well. On the Storm it brings up the keyboard which you can’t get rid of. This I found slightly annoying. Also, it isn’t obvious how to scroll through the selections. Google Search looks great on my Storm and I’m curious, how does it look on your device?
{ED NOTE: The title said Storm because that is what the author was using. It did not mean to imply a version specifically for the Storm.]

A lot of BlackBerry Storm apps are coming out that have an iPhone-like personality. I just got tipped off about Nickel Buddy Coin Toss for the Storm. The app is a basic coin flip animation to make a decision. Simple, free and fun makes this app worth downloading.
Nickel Buddy Coin Toss is a great way to make important life decisions.
“Sandra, I’m not sure whether or not to divorce my husband. He has been cheating on me but the kids need a father.”
“Hold on a second, let’s ask my BlackBerry Storm.”

Verizon has settled a lawsuit filed last month against Feature Films for Families, a Utah-based telemarketing company, for illegally calling Verizon customers and employees to advertise the movie, “The Velveteen Rabbit.” In addition to a permanent injunction preventing any future calls, the Utah-based telemarketer has agreed to a $25,000 cash settlement, which Verizon is donating to the National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH).
The lawsuit alleged Feature Films for Families illegally used an autodialer to call Verizon customers about the movie. The lawsuit stated that over 10 days in early February, nearly 500,000 calls were made to Verizon Wireless customers and employees from the telephone number 917-210-4609. When customers answered these calls to their wireless phones they heard either a prerecorded voice message or an individual reading a script promoting the anticipated release of the film.
Now if only Rogers can file a similar lawsuit against the people calling me about my renewing my car insurance (I don’t drive).

I decided I should probably try to get my blood pressure under control. My Doctor hooked me up with a dietician and she has me keeping track of my calorie intake and my exercise habits. At first I thought, piece of cake, I’ll just write down everything in a notebook. After the first 3 weeks I lost my notebook. I got another notebook, but it’s just too tedious to keep up with. After a little deductive reasoning, the next best solution would be to use my Blackberry device as my journal, as I never lose track of it, knock on wood. After going through what was available online I decided on Ascendo Fitness. My first impression is I like what I see so far.
