T3 is a tech magazine that is reporting that RIM and T-Mobile are “holding a mystery joint event tonight” where the BlackBerry Niagara 9630 will be announced. It could be true that the event will demo the phone to certain parties and give them a first look, but I doubt it will be a public announcement. It would make more sense for RIM to announce the device at a conference such as WES 2009.

why would T-Mobile have anything to do with an xx30 (aka CDMA) device? Maybe someone has their wires crossed and this “rumor” was more about the Sidekick event T-Mobile had the other night
I’m with Dan on this one.
I also agree with Dan.
….plus we have it from Multiple sources that the 9630 is not a touch screen device. (though I am hoping they are all under NDAs).
It’ a CDMA

Kyle – You’re making too many mistakes and not really thinking about stuff before you post it. This is what separates quality from … the rest. It’s obvious to anyone really paying attention that Niagara is a CDMA device and TMo is a GSM carrier. There are some rumors you can just throw away as garbage. This is one of them.
