I haven’t seen an official update to the 8830 in a while but it seems Verizon has put out an official update for the BlackBerry 8830 OS. The new OS, 4.5.0.138, can be downloaded through Verizon’s BlackBerry page. I apologize to all the BlackBerry Storm owners who are still waiting to get theirs.

I’ve seen a few people on Twitter start to use UberTwitter and it’s a fairly good client. It has a clean user interface and all the functionality you would expect from a decent Twitter client.
Their BETA 2 is soon to be released and with the launch they will have the following updates:
* Done! Sound/Vib notifications – different profile for new tweets, vice replies
* Seperate Sound/Vib notification profile for new DM
* Done! Manual and/or longer refresh

Facebook is now available for download in version 1.5. The problem I have with this is that you can’t use Facebook for the one purpose that I use it for: the events. The mobile version is still stuck in just status updates which is a good step for the site, but it is not fully functional.

BerryReview found some interesting sample ad creative for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) 5. The materials don’t reveal anything about BES 5 that would get the Internet screaming, but if you’re curious what print ads you will be seeing soon, this will tell you. BES 5 is going to be a great tool for enterprise.
