Stop unwanted screen rotations with the BlackBerry Storm

One thing that might frustrate you about the BlackBerry Storm is that you have no control over when the screen rotates from landscape to portrait and vice versa. Although you can try to keep your device still and stop it from rotating, it will almost always rotate by accident. Storm Rotation Wizard from Mobireport addresses this issue.

Storm Rotation Wizard costs $2.99 and allows you to lock the Storm’s display in portrait or landscape, or you can choose to leave it on auto-rotate, the default setting. This is the cheapest app out there to get this sort of control.

Purchase Storm Rotation Wizard for $2.99.

You should mention stoptilt, which costs the same right now, offers a free trial (which this does not), and is faster to use (requires less clicks).

i wish they just had an app that locked the home screen and all the apps switched automatically. i find the homescreen to be annoying when it switches back and forth and you have to wait for thing to switch. i’d rather just know that the homescreen is always one orientation. there’s something that feels more stable about this. maybe i just like this feature with the iphone but mostly i get annoyed taking it out of my pocket or picking it up and it switching at least once or twice before I can do anything.

Wow that is awesome that you can pay $2.99 to fix a software defect from Rimm. LOL you should have bought an iphone – no fix needed.

Hayweed, you mean like copy & paste and mms? I’d send you a picture of what I’m talking about but you wouldn’t be able to open it.

EJL, you are describing exactly what this app does. You can set the orientation of the Home Screen and leave all the other apps to rotate automatically.
