Avea, a carrier in Turkey, has a nationwide customer base of over 12 million. Back in February of 2009, Avea launched the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and they’ve grown their BlackBerry service considerably since.
Compared to North America, their BlackBerry data plans are incredible!
An all-you-can-eat BlackBerry data plan on Avea, costs you TRY 31.36 (TRY is the symbol for Turkish Lira) or $20.26 USD.
Compare that price with that of AT&T and Rogers. AT&T offers an all you can eat plan for $30, while Rogers offers their 5GB plan for a whopping $80.
I guess BlackBerry Cool is moving to Turkey to become BlackBerry So?ukkanl?.
Check out their prices on their site.

RT @BlackBerryCool: Avea Turkish BlackBerry devices have amazing data plans http://bit.ly/ipJot nooo they advert STORM with MC hammer
Yes, that’s right at a first glance. Add to this the incredible taxes and it will come somewhere near AT&T. In addition, the data plans are covered by the high voice rates. Still not enough, you have reception problems even in Istanbul.
I better stick with another carrier personally. At least the coverage is good.
And welcome to Turkey, BlackBerry Sogukkanli
It is true that Avea has a low data tariff cost, but it has to be looked at like this.
Avea charges more for voice minutes when compared to AT&T in the states, or a carrier like O2 or Orange in the UK, in addition, the cost ot TRY31.00 is before tax in the region, which just happened to be *reduced* … to 20 per-cent. Once you look at that, the £20 I pay for unlimited BlackBerry data/messaging on T-Mobile (£55 in total per month, including the cost of my voice plan, and tax.) really isn’t that much different from what someone would pay for Aveas’ data tariff.
It is not 3G, Edge network. And you can see slower than 15kb/s.
How can use AVEA customers that? And thay can’t use that plan with their PC.
But Turkcell(another operator in Turkey), gives 3 GB data, same price, but you can use that plan with your PC (using your BB device as modem)
I am a old customer of Avea (about 7-8 year customer). But i can’t use AVEA in ?stanbul. (that is the biggest city in Turkey). There is no network available many locations in ?stanbul.
I said that them, and wait for fix that about 8 months.
My family and friends can’t talk with me more than 1 minutes
And if i want to call somewhere, open the window and move %50 of my body outside, and call
I used Avea 7-8 years, but they did not anything for customers.
But Turkcell call me about my invoices, and they offer discount about %25.
