Wirefly is a decent the company, the customer service is good, and the pricing is not bad either

Just checked status on the processing to Tmo. They still honor their usual upgrade timing, so I was denied since I’ve only had my BB Curve for about 6+ months =/

So if you’re just looking to upgrade and you’re still new into your recent contract, they will probably just deny the upgrade.

Well this did ask some more info during the final process, but so far everything seemed fine. I’ll try to keep this updated as the process and phone is on the way.

I hope there aren’t any problems post-receiving the phone, but I’ll take up Kyle on his offer if something does happen.

P.S. I’m glad I wasn’t forced to get a family plan after all.

Alright. I should have tried it earlier, but I went to upgrade phone and I was able to just upgrade a single phone with the same plan I’m on right now. I’m going to see if there’s anything else that’s fishy, and let you guys know.

Well, just tried to use the same number and got this:

“Current Mobile Number cannot be the same for 2 different lines.
(If you are trying to extend a contract for only one line, and add a new line of service for your second line, please click Order by Phone for assistance)”

Meaning, you have to use 2 different numbers (obviously) so from the looks of it, you can’t just upgrade your own phone. Anyone else find anything different to be able to just update 1 phone?

I’m verifying the whole thing with a friend who works with Tmo. So far he hasn’t gotten back to me, but so far, I can only say that it is requiring you to use a Family Plan which requires 2 phones.

I don’t know if I can use the same number for both (gf doesn’t want a new phone), but going to test that out right now.

Yeah, I’m not saying the entire thing is a scam, but for me, it looks like it would be more of a hassle than anything.

If someone with Tmobile ends up taking this deal, let me know the outcome, if possible.

I’ve been looking around to find some of these scams and they just seem like regular customer support issues, not scams.

Keep in mind, they are the largest vendor of mobile devices on the web and it would be hard to build a company that size on a scam.

I’ll promise BlackBerry Cool readers this: if anyone gets scammed, I’ll help you get your money back and I will shut down our device store.

It seems the only available plan is a shared minute plan. Which I can still use, however I’m going to find out if you can just have a second phone with the same number on it (I’m about 80% it won’t work but I’ll try it anyway).

Has anyone used Wirefly before?
This whole thing seems sketchy, when upgrading, they don’t have the exact plan i have with tmobile as an option.
Plus saying there’s an activation fee, when tmobile never charges that for upgrades?
I know it’s a free 500 dollar phone, but something seems off about it?
Feedback, anyone?
