INterestingly enough this law was written in 1989:

The Internal Revenue Service has announced an effort to enforce a 1989 law that requires workers with company-issued cell phones to count the value of their calls as personal income.

NPR had an article on this yesterday afternoon - you can listen here:

From Lincoln's Gettysburg address - the final line is:

...and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Looks like Lincoln's latest successor and Congress is undoing that. Sounds more like ...government of the government, by the government, for the government, shall cause all freedom to perish.

The IRS just added 17 agents to my town of 47000 people. Don't know how many we had before - but making changes like these to impose additional taxes on us will definitely not help the economic woes of this land. The single largest financial lifetime load on all Americans is TAXES. Not your home, not your cars - not your retirement. Look over your entire lifetime. You could have bought many homes and paid for many retirements if you were not paying anywhere from 10-50% in taxes each year you work. What is this country coming to?
