AT&T BlackBerry Bold and Curve 8900 prices reduced

A great carrier promotion would involve giving early device adopters the chance to get credits added to their bill if their device’s price gets reduced within the first year. For example, if I purchased an AT&T BlackBerry Bold for $299 and 6 months later the device costs $199, I should be credited $100 to my bill. Alas, this is not the case.

AT&T has changed the 2-year contract price of the BlackBerry Bold to $199.99 from $299.99. The AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8900 has been reduced to $149.99 on a 2-year contract.

I don’t follow your argument. Part of the price you pay for being an early adopter is the likelihood that the price of a new product will drop once it’s been released for a while. On the flip side you have had the use of it for the pre-price drop period, before the cheapskates who waited for the price to fall.
