If this is too expensive for you, just wait a month. I've noticed that a lot of BlackBerry apps follow a trend that includes:

1) High price to start
2) Giveaways and discounts
3) Permanent discount
4) Freemium business model moving forward

It doesn't take long to go through these steps and many of these apps end up significantly cheaper than when it started.

Although, if you're the type who loses his/her phone a lot, buy now because $6 is nothing compared to the $600 you lose with the device.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree. For some reason owning a BlackBerry means you are a Fortune500, power-trading, millionaire that has buckets of money to throw around. This is my only theory as to why BB Apps cost up to a hundred times(not an exaggeration) more than iPhone apps.

Now you might be saying, "Dave. Can I call you Dave?(No.) Dave, why would you buy such a high-profile device if you are such a lowly peasant that you can't afford the over-inflated prices of the average BlackBerry app?" To which I would reply; "Dick. Can I call you dick? Dick, if I had known the average fun/useless iApps cost as much as the must-have efficient/useful apps, I could have saved $500 by getting an iPhone. However, not being an iSheep and drinking the Steve Jobs flavored Kool-Aid, I know better hardware exists than Apple's paltry fare.

To make a long rant short; If I could help it, ALL BlackBerry apps would be $1. But greed is what greed charges.
