Not one to wait around, TeleNav has notified us that they have their TeleNav GPS Navigator version 5.5 program ready to roll for the BlackBerry Tour at launch. As you’d expect, you can get turn-by-turn navigation, lowest gas prices, real time traffic and future trip planning. You can pick up the application from TeleNav’s store. If you do, the first 30 days are free.

I used to have a previous version and loved it, so I can’t wait to get the new one. Thanks for the update!
Does this mean that there could be the same version for the storm? I have 5.1!
Can someone tell me if this requires that the $9.99 per month be paid to Verizon? I have a BB Tour issued by my company. The company won’t spring for $9.99/month for VZ Navigator service. I would pay for this myself, but no way to split the billing. Is this Telenav a solution? Can I install and pay for it myself and it will work on my BB. My BB is not locked to prohibit apps, I just cannot get anything that gets charged to the account owner (my company).
