I have just purchased a Curve 8900 in Thailand, it is a T-Mobile Mexico Import. Great phone! but please please give me BlackBerry App Store and Google Maps. BlackBerry Maps is really lame compared to GM. Does anybody know if the BB World zip download actually works? I found it on BlackBerryCool.com. Apparently you download this zip file and save it in various places on your PC do a sync with BB DM and hey presto! BB World is on your PC and BB. Sounds great but I am hesitant to try it without hearing some success stories.

As the other post said, BB is now huge in Thailand so lets pull our finger out shall we and give your customers support for their expensive smartphones. In my humble opinion "even though most people don't like this kind of comparison" the Curve 8900 phone is an iPhone beater, I sold my 3G to get it, and so far I am mightily impressed with it. Access to a useable app store would be the cherry on the cake for me

[...] You may be thinking that this is a lot of software so far but it really isn’t. Your BlackBerry device can not only store up to 256MB of applications on the device, you can also save your applications to your SD card via App World. See details about the latest release of App World to find out more. [...]
