I’d like to see GPS that works on Verizon/Alltel:) Aside from that, replace the trackball with the new trackpad, use the flips keys, “indent” the buttons on the side so they don’t get accidentally pushed as easy.
I’d like to see a sleeker phone, thinner. Make it a little bigger (longer) so it feels more like a phone. Make the keys a little bigger also.
the track ball could be improved, sure type could also be better. other than that it’s a great phone.
I would like a Pearl slider with the screen taking all off the front part and a full keyboard underneath.

It would be sweet to win a pearl.
a bigger device memory, a message previewer, tasks and memos integrated in the “calendar” display for today themes, auto-reply for those times we cant reply ourselves, and led caller ID similar to berrybuzz, and a real voice-activated dialling. Keep the trackball, please
Hoping.
I’d like to see touch screen on a device with a keyboard.
GPS & WiFi!! 3G will be accepted also
Better display and higher screen resolution, faster processor, more memory. And OS 5 of course.

I’d like to see more desktop integration with both PC’s and Mac’s. Carriers are still charging exorbitant rates for 3G and regular data transfers. The Pearl has loads of features that can be very useful without direct, mobile connection to the Internet. Using Wi-Fi or even a USB connection, a user should be able to download and install applications as easily as on a Mac, synchronize calendars and address books with Google and Thunderbird, etc. While this would not take full advantage of the Pearl as a smart phone, it would make it much more useful as a combination phone and PDA.
Please please more memory! Totally fed up of having to do a battery pull all the time because I like to use big apps such as Viigo and BeeJive at the same time.
More device memory.
Higher res camera (3.2 would be plenty thanks).
Along with all the regular requests: better browser, more memory, message preview, better themes.. I’d like to see a phone that looks similar to the 9700 but narrow like the pearl.. Also, 32GB sdhc support, 3.2mp camera, GPS, Wifi, and all the other features we’ve come to expect
How about a button that says “.com”.
I love my pearl but as far as the hardware, I’d love to see RIM add more memory, improve the camera resolution, and straighten out the keyboard. As far as the OS goes, improve the calendar to integrate tasks. That would make it perfect. I too would like them to keep the trackball!
i hate to admit this, but i kinda like the idea of a slide out keypad with touchscreen too, kinda like the “gulp” Palm Pre. I’d love a slightly bigger screen for all my media.
i also agree that more onboard memory is crucial for all BlackBerry’s, having 5 applications after market slow down the device is a real bummer…
other than that, i love my 8120, WIFI is awesome, form factor is tight and lean, typing is a breeze and i love how it fits in any pocket i need.
I would like to see where you can download apps to your memory card. And a way to have more than one alarm w/o paying for that app
Here are the 10 Must Have’s:
1. Support: CDMA, GSM and WiFi (make it a world phone!)
2. Keep form factor with: SureType and Multitap keyboard
3. Browser that supports Javascript.
5. Increase internal memory to minimum of 256K
6. Fix the memory leak issues — don’t erase all my messages when memory runs out.
7. Software to support Mac sync
8. Camera should be 5 Meg
9. Video editing
10. Keep GPS, voice dialing (no change required)
The pearl could be a little bit thinner. Also some improvements on the trackball need to be made. Other than that, the phone is great.
i would like to see a blackberry slide phone or to be able to use a storm on my network which is not verizon.
