BrightBerry is the free open source app built with the BrightKite APIs, that was launched over a month ago.
Brightkite is a social network tool that has announced their first BlackBerry app, myKite. The app is a direct link to the Brightkite portal where users can better interact with the site.
Features include:
- View and navigate your streams (Friends, Nearby, Universe, Mentions, and User)
- Post a Note/Photo to your current location
- Post a Note/Photo to a certain location
- Check in to a Placemark
- Create and delete Placemarks
- Check in via GPS
- Check in via Place Search
- Send and receive Direct Messages
- View and post comments on a post
- Get notifications when you receive a new Brightkite email
