Documents To Go version 2 released with desktop sync and more

The DataViz team today launched Documents To Go version 2 for BlackBerry this morning. Some of the new features include desktop synchronization, enhanced PDF support and support password protected 2007 files.

Version 2 of Documents To Go allows you to sync with your desktop using via USB cable. From the application, you can select individual files, or entire folders to synchronize with your computer. DataViz uses a technology called InTact, which maintains your document formatting throughout the sync process.

Also included in the latest version is increased functionality for Adobe PDF files. With the new Docs To Go, you can find and copy text, save as, send file via email, bookmark and more.

Documents To Go Premium Edition retails for $69.99 and is available to all BlackBerry users running 4.5 or higher.

    Be careful with those links. There are 2 builds: One for 4.5 and 4.6 devices, the other for 4.7 and above.

    Everyone is entitled to v. 2.0 Standard for free; all you have to do is go to ‘check for updates’ in the version you already have installed. That way you’ll be sure to get the one that’s intended for your device!

    Thank you Jason, the first time I tried it failed and lost all icons. Had to reload version 1.0 and re-register and was able to get the update.

    I’m so mad about this! Why is it so much money? I recently bought DTG for iPhone, and have found that it is by far the best implementation of that program I’ve seen! The sync via wi-fi is amazingly reliable and fast! Best of all it was only $9.99.

    Why is the Blackberry version 7 times more expensive, and missing wi-fi sync? Arghh!

    I’m sick of the Blackberry USB sync process. I already have to sync my PIM info with Desktop Manager, then sync my media (podcasts and such) with Media Sync. I don’t want to have to sync through a 3rd program as well now.

    (For the record, I use my 8900 for work during the week, and my iPhone on weekends. DTG for Blackberry would much more useful to me.)
