i have the tour. ive read reviews of the tour2 and GSM vs CDMA…..from what i have read, Verizon has such good coverage, and the data is so fast, that with an unlimited data plan, you really dont need wifi. so i will stay happy with my 9630

Gabe – The Tour (and now Tour 2) is the closest thing to the Bold 9700 that Verizon has available. I agree with you 100% that the 9700 has everything! If it was available for Verizon I would have it in a second! However, they do not and AT&T’s service is pretty bad. That’s not just me saying that. Consumer Reports rated them dead last in all categories.

More importantly for me, my company pays for my phone and my plan and they are on Verizon. I was on AT&T with my iPhone prior to getting my Blackberry and Sprint prior to that. I wouldn’t even consider T-Mobile since they are dead every where I spend the most time in Los Angeles, including my home. Verizon is hands down the best service provider I have ever had.

I get service in basements, elevators and parking garages. I am always able to reach customer service within a short time and they have consistently handled my issues to my satisfaction.

The moment Verizon gets the Bold I will have it. In the mean time, the Tour 2 is the best we can do. I currently have the 8330 so I am personally very excited for the Tour 2 to come out!

i don’t see the point of bb tour , why it is necessary if the blackberry 9700 exists, 9700 has everything and I rather had a 8900 than a tour or wait for the new curve with trackpad , somebody can explain me the point of the tour series?

I currently have the BB on Verizon Curve and am eligable for upgrade… I can get the tour 1 for less than $70. Does anyone know when the Tour 2 is coming out? Is it worth waiting? Does anyone know if the call quality will be better? Will the batthery life be better?? THANK YOU!!

That is the dumbest thing you could possibly say. Wireless carriers prefer you use wifi since it means you’re not racking up use on their network, but still paying the unlimited pricing. Next time do a review, and keep your idiotic opinions out of it.

I know that Sprint will begin carrying the Blackberry Tour2, but does anyone know if Verizon will also do this as well? I am debating on whether or not I should wait to get the Blackberry Tour2 if it comes to Verizon.

The Curve 2 has a subpar 2.0 megapixel camera. The Tour, and presumably, the Tour 2 should have a 3.2 mp camera. It makes a difference in my opinion.

Does anyone know if the Tour 2 is any better then the Curve 2? If it’s not much better I’ll just get the Curve 2 since it’s already available. I currently have the Curve 8330 and would like the addition of Wi-Fi. The track pad looks good too.
