Doesnt the new software available mean all the same features on the storm 2 can be added to the storm, which really makes mean wonder apart from wifi there is not difference.

Barcode, after using the Storm2 for a few weeks now, I actually like it quite a bit. It’s a much firmer typing feel compared to the Storm1. It actually feels like you’re typing with real buttons. I also noticed I can type quite a bit faster than before, now that I’ve gotten used to it. Mind you, I didn’t have a Bold before but I think typing on this is quite good. If you’re not interested in doing much web surfing, maybe you should stick with the Bold. I will also say that the Storm2 has been very stable compared to the Storm1 so that’s a nice change. The WiFi is pretty cool too. I guess it comes down to features – does the Storm have features that you’ll enjoy that a bold doesn’t? If the storm2 offers more features for you than a bold, I bet you’ll end up liking it. Hope this helps some….

I’m currently on an old Curve, and want to upgrade, but can’t decide between Bold or Storm 2. Reason for posting here: I email quite a lot, so I’m interested in what typing on the Storm 2 is like, compared to a ‘real’ keyboard like on the Bold. Is the Bold a lot better for typing? I’d like the bigger screen on the Storm 2, but don’t know if typing on it is going to be a lot worse than a Bold or not? Help!

I just switched from the Storm to the Storm 2. I’m not sure I’m liking the harder feel while typing on the Storm 2 but I really need to give it a chance. I liked the soft feel of the 9530 but maybe I’m just used to it. I honestly don’t see much difference between the two phones, although it appears the camera works MUCH faster than the 9530. I was having several problems after the upgrade to 5.0 otherwise I wouldn’t have made the switch.

I have no trouble typing in my Storm. And OS 5.0 makes it even better.

But what do you Kyle by 3.25 inch half-VGA being an improvement? The size and resolution are identical between 9530 and 9550.

I’m still not sure I understand the problems people have typing on the original Storm. I switched from a slider style phone to the Storm, and once I got used to it I can type just as fast on the Storm as I did with my old phone, and with similar accuracy.
