Nimbuzz launch free aggregated IM client for BlackBerry

Nimbuzz BlackBerry Buddy List

Nimbuzz for BlackBerry is now available from BlackBerry App World as well as the Nimbuzz site. The app features a ton of IM clients such as AIM, Google Talk, MSN, Skype as well as Facebook. Speaking of Skype, weren’t they supposed to launch a BlackBerry client 6 months ago? Even though you can’t use the VoIP calling feature of Skype with Nimbuzz, I still wanted to try it out. When I logged in with my Bold 9700, I got an error message saying the Skype service wasn’t working and they’re “looking into it.”

Nimbuzz is free to download and supports BlackBerrys running OS v4.6 or higher. Just go to Nimbuzz.com from your BlackBerry or hit up App World.

Thanks for the poke at Skype Matt. They need to get their act in order or at least give the BlackBerry community an update.

And I have tested this application and I can say it looks good on the surface but this program is very young in its age (maybe the reason why they are offering free to work out the details of growth).

First problem you need to have an account on their site..really do I need another username and password to manage for IM (I’m just mad cause Caspan was taken… who out their is named caspan as well??)

It does not bring down the renamed names/nicknames from MSN. I think everyone has friends like mine that decide to call them self glorymoonvapor@somefreeemail.com and your like who the heck is that?? Even if you don’t bring down the nicknames give me the ability to rename them so I know who they are.

Grouping of offline people is not available. Again i don’t want offline people showing but I want them available to see if i want to look them up.

Because of this reason I am not impressed with this application off the bat. JM2C

Finally a good multi instant messaging app for free bravo. I say this because all I use is the Facebook messenger and Aim they both run great, you can see icon pics in both, and plus you can see away messages in Aim. Only problem I have is the Facebook takes a while to connect I have trouble setting my icon pic. But its a new app so I can complain.

Quick question. Does it allow you to sign into more than one MSN account at a time?

Just another note to go along with my other review. I have been running it since this morning and my other post my battery is now at 1 bar. This thing just sucked 2 days worth of battery in less then 4 hours. Uninstalled

Looks great. I had it for a day. I will say that it is a battery-sucker. Your battery will be drained. Great app though!
