I haven't used a Storm (too cheap and I like my 8703e and its trackwheel) but a quick search comes up with extended battery and door kits from $25 to $65. The 2600mAh battery promises 110% more juice for the phone, if that is true the extra capacity should get you through two work days easily. I don't know why more HR departments don't just buy the extended battery kit when they buy a phone. Otherwise that dropped call could cost you a big contract -- which is worth far more than $65! Since many people buy Bluetooth headsets that cost that much, why not the extended battery kit as well?

I am not a hater ... I LOVE MY STORM 2 ... but I can't get more than 3-4 hours out of the battery. I receive about 5 emails (I don't even open them, just receive them), I get and send 2 texts, I check the time about 5 times and it goes completely dead within no more than 4 hours. I have turned off the WiFi, have no apps running in the background, no streaming music ... NOTHING! If I leave it plugged in, it's a great little phone and I love all of it's features. I have replaced the battery and now have to carry two extra batteries, a computer charger, wall charger and car charger to make it through a 9 hour day. Verizon is no help - they says it's a smartphone and will eat batteries faster than a regular phone. After being patted on the head and told to go play like a good little girl, I feel like ramming this phone up their butt and telling them I had a Palm Pilot before they were popular - I know what a smartphone can and cannot do. I should be able to make it through a day without dripping IV energy to a phone. Suggestions?

That is true with any device... even brand name GPS's. Your screen is constantly on and it is keeping a satellite fix.

What you said is not a negative about the storm2... if anything I think its pretty good that it lasts 3-4 hours for navigation while it is still functioning as a phone.
