Good luck on that one guys, I have scanned books, coke, knorr, cd’s, video games, toys, tools and finally I gave up. My 9700 has auto focus and everything. Strange thing is when we stayed in Japan, this stuff has been around for quite awhile and it works on almost anything.

I just downloaded it on a QR code, and the scan failed until I scanned the code upside down. Weird.

This app says it handles UPC barcodes, but all versions that I have downloaded for my Storm 9530 v5 do not.

I might give this a try but I’ve been happy with edocrab (barcode spelled backwards) so far. Not sure I would like being forced through some intermediary web site like Caspan mentions.

I wonder if anyone has tried this with the business QR signs Google has been sending out?

I have tried their product before and it couldn’t even scan a barcode off the camera. It’s nice to see with this version that it can actually scan now.

If you have used previous Barcode readers you will notice that this one is a bit different. After successfully reading the barcode, the program take you to their website to view the content of the barcode. Normally if it was a URL then it would take you straight there but they make you pit stop on their page then click a link to follow through to. With Vcards it should open the users contact card and let you save it but again it opens their site and presents you the info to you in raw text which is useless.

Compared to other barcode readers I give this one a C because it works but fails on everything else.

I have tried their product before and it couldn’t even scan a barcode off the camera. It’s nice to see with this version that it can actually scan now.
