bbm_outage

BlackBerry Messenger has been down for some time now. Apparently there are outages across North American carriers that affect BBM, Internet browsing and apps that use data. There have been several outages in recent months and this one is particularly bad. These outages don’t normally last long so it will surely be fixed by Christmas when many will unbox their new BlackBerry.

    February the 5th, working fine
    February 6th, wake up to find that the Curve 8900 no longer sends or receives BBM or email. I just get the red clock as soon as I press send.

    It’s as if the phone is suddenly trying to use a data service that isn’t available. I can still make calls and use the internet browser though (through wifi). Strange.

    I’m on o2 UK, in Afghanistan under TDCA (Roshan)

    There is no GPRS coverage in this region, only GSM. However I was able to use all the data services through WiFi.

    At 50p p/sms, I really want it back on

    Any idea’s?

    With Virgin Mobile, Nothing for my Data Plan works. No Roaming Internet just Wifi, No Blackberry MSN, Live etc, Cant use Google Maps app. Please help

    just got mine and i cant get the messenger app to connect…..it keeps saying it cannot communicate

    On bbm photo appears on my profile icon but does not transfer> Same for my contacts vice versa

    i am in England and BBM is for ever taking 10 to 20 mins to deliver messages , and going down for hours at a time , Blackberries have become very popular in the last 12 months over here and i dont think their servers can handle the level of traffic , one of the reasons why i went for a blackberry was the messenger service it appealed to me now its annoying me
