Bing pretty much sucks to use on a phone. I never get what I'm looking for. I've had two blackberrys with sprint prior to my current one with verizon. On the sprint berries I always used Google and it was great. With Bing I never get the results I'm looking for. They should change the name from Bing… to Crap.. because that's exactly what it is. Please dont comment on here that you use one for general searches and one for detailed searches. Who the hell has time for that? A good search engine GOOGLE can perform all types of searches adequetly.

I use both Bing and Google search engine and i dont see much difference in their search results. I use google for searching hard to find academic topics and Bing for general search.

i think that Bing is not as good as Google. Google would still index new websites faster than Bing. Microsoft would still need a lot of catching to do with GoogleBot.

I wasn’t so upset about the new icon that just happened to show up on my desk top but when I called Verizon I was told it was “BLACKBERRY THEY ARE IN A CONTRACT WITH MICROSOFT” and that there was nothing that could be done to get rid of the icon or to use any other search engine! I said are you kidding! Then I asked the woman I was speaking to -Can you connet me to Blackberry to see if they have a way they can delete the icon? And also that I wanted to make a complaint that they did this without my knowlege. She said “sure is there anything else I can help you with today?” No thank you, I said and was promptly sent to Blackbery where I started in on the person that I was connected to only to find out that Blackberry had nothing to do with this and that in fact it was Verizon who had contracted with Microsoft -I couldn’t believe it so I asked him to connect me back to Verizon so I could register my complaint with them. So when I was connected to Verizon again I spoke to Jacob who told me “no, no I just spoke to a Blackberry rep who told me that they had just signed the contract and that it was going to last a year” So to make a long story short -VERIZON WORKERS HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO TELL THERE CLIENTS THAT IT IS BLACKBERRY BEHIND THIS AND NOT VERIZON! How can you trust these people! I think it’s time to find another phone company!

i am a user of Microsofts BING search engine and it is as good as google search. for searching blogs, i think google gives more relevant search results compared bing.

As all of you, I am NOT enjoying this whole ‘BING’ situation. I figured when it ‘mysteriously’ showed up on my desktop, that it’d be a new thing verizon put out for try’s. But I didn’t think there’d be NO way out of it. Unlike some of you unlucky blackberry users, i’ve found a way to uninstall it. But only after agreeing to the terms.

Heres how I found my way out for the most part. (Options)— (Advanced options) — (applications)

That took away the icon on my desktop. Which made me very pleased, since I now have everything back to my order. But I am still having a big struggle with the browser. I do have the APP for a google tool bar, and I love it.. except for the fact that the set up of google and every other website I go on is different because of BING. But the biggest problem is I can NO longer click my menu button and have the option of (GO TO..) And its very agitating!!

I’ve looked and I cannot find an option to BINGs browser that allows me to type in a URL. So instead I have to go around and type it in the google tool bar. But here’s the catch.. google isn’t google anymore. And half of the websites I need to go to, don’t show up on the search.

I haven’t talked to verizon about it. And after reading all this I doubt I’ll even bother. I just hope to god that I’ll be able to pick my own search engine again, and preferably before I pull all my hair out!!
