More pics of the BlackBerry Tour2 9650 emerge

BlackBerry-Tour2-1

BGR has posted some pics of the upcoming BlackBerry Tour2 9650 from Verizon. There are a few improvements on this device over its predecessor including WiFi, a trackpad, a faster processor (possibly the one used in the Storm2) and it seems the side buttons are rubberized.

Personally, I’m wondering if the Tour2 9650 will support OpenGL. We know that CDMA devices with the appropriate hardware requirements will support OpenGL, so perhaps this device falls in that category.

    I am puzzled by the last two pictures. Does it show:
    1. A BlackBerry 9700 (top) and Tour (bottom two)
    2. A BlackBerry Tour 2 (top) and Tour (bottom two)

    The phone on top looks a lot like the 9700 cause I noticed the numbers on the keyboard are white in colour, unlike the ones on the Tour/Tour2, which are red in colour.

    OK, so wouldn’t this be just as good as the Bold 9700? Actually, wouldn’t it be BETTER considering that the Tour has a wider keyboard?

    John, I agree it would be better with a wider keyboard…less chance of tapping 2 keys at once = faster typing. But I do love the look of the Bold 9700…. ummmm!!

    i don’t believe these pictures,
    why is nothing different on the keyboard other than the top column?
    why are the two green buttons different as well as the back and end button?

    the bottom pictures i can’t explain, maybe a bold or new curve…i’m not sure
