Grooveshark have announced their streaming music service is available for BlackBerry. To use the app, you must have a VIP account with Grooveshark which will cost your $3 per month. With companies like Kik and Slacker providing free streaming music, Grooveshark is going to have a tough time convincing users to pay. For your subscription, you get the following features:

  • Play “any” song instantly.
  • Save and make playlists.
  • Radio.
  • Listen offline.

Go to Grooveshark.com from your BlackBerry to download the application. You’ll have to get a premium account as well.

I think this is a great idea for Grooveshark!

The free subscription services out there that I’ve tried don’t even come close to the system Grooveshark has going.

This will push me in to the VIP plan on my work BlackBerry and hopes that Grooveshark eventually adds something like this for my personal phone (Windows Mobile) too.
