RIM has pushed OS 5 out and now it’s up to the carriers to get it to the users. With OS 5 available for the Bold 9000, hopefully we’ll see more devices getting an upgrade shortly. OS is now available for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 from a variety of carriers including Vodafone and Optus Mobile. Remember to delete the vendor.xml file located in: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.

Checked O2’s site, nothing official up there yet.
Realistically, if .411 is considered a ‘final’ release of 5.0 for the 8900 - Is there any disadvantage with me using a non O2 version?
