thanks a lot for the info.I had a small problem, while updating my bb 9700 from version 5 to version 6,, i got a fatal error while the updates were going on. totally there were 12 updates and it had complete 5 updates when the fatal error occurred. then my phone began to restart again. could u help me out with this?

when i try to update os of my8900 curve it says u need active bb service subsciption.and when i go through app loader after erasing vendor it says no action requires .
anybody help me updating my 8900 ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Hi, first of all I did the upgrade on a Mac so I couldn’t find the vendor.xml file. Anyway, the upgrade seems to be fine until I upgrade BBMessenger and start adding contacts. That’s when the handset crashes and tries to reboot with a white screen and spinning hourglass but never does (at least not after about 15 mins of it just doing this – i have a 8320). Someone please help!

Hi there
My phone was stuck for a few days, nothing I did could fix it! So I eventually found by bb cable and pluggged into desktop to upgrade etc, and voila it was fixed! the scrooll button started working and off I went, but it lasted only 5 min! Any idea what I can do? The jamming was def software related as soon as it was updated it worked so fast and so well, now I dont know what to do !

my grandma has a curve 8900 with os 4 and won’t update to os 5. the desktop software says that there are no available update. i’m getting frustrated. what could possibly be the problem?
