BerrySki Launch BerrySki for European Ski Resorts

Comments

BerrySki have let us know that they have launched a new version – BerrySki for European Ski Resorts. The app has 460+ ski resorts and details of each run. The app also supports resort complex sets that allow skiers to ski across multiple ski resorts within a complex. The resort sets include 4 Vallees, Davos-Klosters, Domaine Evasion Mont-Blanc, Espace Killy, Ki-West/Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, Paradiski, Portes du Soleil, Trois Vallees, Via Lattea, Zermatt/Cervinia.

Once the maps are downloaded to your Blackberry, the application also works offline while there is no connectivity. Once you start recording, BerrySki automatically keeps track of all the runs and lifts you cover during the day. The app gives you a bird’s eye-view of your tracks overlaid on a map, so you can review the day’s skiing at the lodge.

BerrySki also gives you statistics about your runs so you can review them and see how fast you navigated a set of moguls or a particular trail.

BerrySki supports all BlackBerry devices running OS 4.2 or higher, with built-in GPS. More details of all European products are available on their site. On a related note, I’ve spoken to BerrySki about the price of their app, and apparently it’s quite costly to get the rights to use the resorts’ maps. Just in case you’re wondering about the relatively steep price.
