I like the fact that BBM has a barcode scanner, but what’s with not being able to set it to a convenience key? C’mon RIM.

Yep. Not sure what happened to cause it to send me to iheartradio, but it worked correctly on a subsequent attempt. We’ll chalk it up to just a fluke.

I was actually talking to an android user yesterday who was telling me that (at least for a little while) the android market place displayed QR codes for applications when you looked through their online web store. This would be a lot better than the email a url to a link approach that BB AppWorld currently uses. And if appworld implements a protocal for this (like they did with BBM) then it would also allow others like you to do so as well.

This however is a great idea, and a great first step…
