The only thing i miss about my BlackBerry is the messenger. Pingchat & Whatapp just don’t cut it. The iPhone wins on all other counts though.

hahaha. What? This is crazy talk. I've had a number of blackberries before switching to iphone 1.5 years ago. I can't imagine a world where I would choose bb over iphone. I also can't imagine a world where i type faster on the hard keyboard. At this point, my speed is the same on either.

I am considering switching to a blackberry bold 9700 as you have… I am concerned that I will miss some of my fun iphone apps like games and what not.. but I really want a blackberry for the functionality and the hard keyboard instead of the touch screen of the iphone… do you miss your iphone at all? I'm definitely a phone hopper, I get board with them pretty easy and want a new one.. when I finally got the iphone I was so stoked, but now I feel like I have “the king of phones” i want something else… So basically long story short, was the switch worth it? Do you miss the iphone? Pros? Cons? Thanks so much!!! -Emily

I'm switching from a BlackBerry to an iPhone. My Bold was nice but good god I hate the track ball and the lack of fun. Maybe it's because I'm a college student, but I'll keep my BlackBerry just in case something happens to my iPhone. I'll use it when I graduate I guess.

BlackBerry Messenger is cool.. but it would a LOT cooler if they’d open it up to talk to more than just other BlackBerry users–a combination of BeeJive and BBM would be awesome. Until BBM can talk to other devices and users, I’d take BeeJive every time. BeeJive is also on the iPhone, but the lack of multitasking does make it a little less great.

I switched from an iPhone 3g to a blackberry bold 9700 also, and I LOVE IT! It’s great to have a phone that can function as a phone. The profiles settings are one of my favorite things, as well as the tremendously better messaging. My iPhone using friends don’t understand how much nicer it is, although it may look uglier. The screen on this device is amazing, and I can do as many things at one time as I’d like, and my battery lasts for nearly three full days. I have to admit, there are a few apps that I miss. But I love my choice, and if anyone is in a similar situation, contact me with any questions.

I recently switched from an iphone 3Gs to a blackberry bold 9700 and I must say that you are absolutely right! I loved my iphone, but wouldn’t want to go back to it now I entered the world of blackberry.
