Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty presented the Prince and Duchess with a pair of matching Storms but it hasn’t been confirmed if the gifts are being put to use.
Official gifts can be worn and used, but are not considered personal property.They cannot be sold or exchanged and eventually become part of the Royal Collection, which is held in trust by the Queen for her successors and the nation.
Of all the devices to make it into the Royal Collection, it had to be the Storm. I’m just glad it wasn’t a Pearl Flip.
