I hate it! I thought something was wrong with my BlackBerry at first but I now realize it's the new changes that have forced me to uninstall the app. I miss using Facebook from my phone.

You're not the only one Kyle, this application drives me nuts. Like you said it is so full of bugs. I go to read a message and it cannot connect. Other times when I am trying to click on icons on the top the movement of the cursor sucks big time to get to the right spot and you have to start at the first icon again every time you screw up.I'm on board with you here Facebook needs a good overhaul. The load time are forever too.

It's ridiculous. Ever since their last update (ages ago) BlackBerry users have been complaining about the app and how slow and almost unusable it is. I don't know why RIM isn't acting fast enough to fix it since its their most downloaded and used application among their millions of customers. Is that enough for them to care? :S

It looks like RIM was having some issues last night because other Blogs have also complained about this issue. I think people have tolerated the application but its outage last night killed the camel.Adam Zeis posted this rant at Crack Berry http://crackberry.com/facebook-streams-not-refr

I ONLY keep the FB app on my BB for uploading photos. When I do my every 2 minute check of Facebook, I do it via Mobile Web. I can't put up with the application. I try to give it another chance every few months, but it doesn't even last 24 hours.Mobile web version FTW!

That's what RIM should have done: trusted Facebook with the APIs necessary to write the app themselves. RIM have some weird distrust of developers where they feel the need to keep certain levels of access secret, and have an inability to trust developers. There are plenty of companies out there that would keep RIM's APIs secret, and can be trusted to build a solid Facebook app. Same thing goes for Twitter. RIM really needs to reconsider entering the consumer app market.

It sucks!! I cannot send messages or upload photos. It also takes MUCH longer than my previous application. In fact, I can honestly say, it's a huge pain in my ass :)

I am starting to get so fed up with this application. I swear…….I love my blackberry, but facebook integration is terrible. They need to fix this ASAP. I am now not receiving notifications and i was just two days ago. I am deleting the application and going strictly to facebook mobile until something else comes along.

Sadly the facebook app has been broken for over six months now. Some people do seem to manage to use it without problems but for many people Notifactions don't work and uploading photo's can be problematic.

It started not long after version 1.6 of the app was released, shortly afterwards facebook introduced some new privacy options and it all seemed to go downhill from there.

I must admit that I am disappointed that RIM haven't looked into a fix for this yet. I don't think they appreciate just how important a good facebook app is these days. I have to say that I am seriously considering IPhone when my contract runs out next year. I am really annoyed at the lack of support /action by RIM on this. I can't honestly say I understand it. I would have thought facebook would be anxious to work closely with them to fix it.

Has anyone noticed today that this application seems to be working with acceptable speeds? This morning I was able to bring up pictures and comments in 5 seconds when normally it would take 50 seconds + to see a picture

  • Mystro

Worst app ever. Never works. Every comment I post on a photo fails. They really need to update this app and completely overhaul everything about it, so it is at least, usable!

  • adam

I deleted this facebook app and it deleted all my contacts in my blackberry. Not happy.. This app sucks

  • Lauren

Not only does the Facebook app totally blow, but try actually deleting it. It not only deleted all of my contacts with it, but somehow deleted the settings for the built in BB browser so I have no internet browser until I “contact my service provider”. Why an app would even have this ability is beyond me.

  • Olala

and one more think …. fb using BB realy unsafe … no privacy et all for the notifications list. u juz imagine …. for example … i log in my fb acc using BB aplication…. then… i send my comments & send some msg to my frens … after that i log out my fb acc …. then the problem here is…. if someone borrow my BB to log in his/her fb acc …. she/ he still can view the whole notifications in my fb acc … it sucks rite ?…. really unsafe … juz imagine if i write samting thats too personal to my fb frens …. very spoilt if the comment or msg can be view by others … huhuhu….. :((
