    Ya I totally agree with you. Checking FB on my storm is like pulling teeth. you wait for it to load, takes forever, and even then it might fail. RIM needs to check it out and come out with a proxy for FB through one of their apps.

    I have the same problem. Worst app ever especially after the layout change becuase you cant see updates anymore. Ipods can upload videos and BB cant on the fb app. They need fb chat on it as well.

    I'm in agreement and can relate with all of those. I think it's terrible that one of their most popular apps is so unpolished. how can the average user rating be 2 stars with such a high attachment rate to the device. And this is just the latest of more frustration caused by my Blackberry that has me rethinking another Blackberry purchase when I renew in May 2010.I'll put a vote in for worst app ever.

    Couldn't agree more. After two updates to the App in fairly rapid succession (at least by RIM standards), I started using the App again. I figured more was to come. However, I haven't seen a single improvement since the last update to the App (and that update was fairly inconsequential). The sad truth is that I would have removed the App long ago if there weren't some small elements to it that I like – the photo part of the app is nice, the ability to link BB and Messenger contactsn to your FB friends is nice (along with their profile pics), and the ability to see some of the other “News Feed” images is nice. However, the sad truth is that the app wouldn't even be necessary if the RIM browser had anything to offer (and, sadly, if you do see something on the App you'd like to view, 9 times out of 10 you can't view it in the BlackBerry browser anyway). I have been tempted to remove this app on numerous occasions and the latest round of issues is pushing me ever closer to the precipice for deleting this ridiculous application. As a side-bar, for anyone that is frustrated by the BB browser, I highly recommend you check out the Bolt browser available from Bitstream. With this browser installed, you are even more indpendent of the Facebook App…

I don't have the time or patience to mess with an inferior app. Plus, it slowed down my phone considerably. If FB decides to upgrade or re-work the app, I'll re-consider using it. Right now, there's no way I'd even consider it.

    I think it's fine, don't blame the app for changes made on FB's side. I've never had a problem with the app refreshing friends when I open it up, and I can understand the icons just fine. Video support would be nice tho.

    Yeah, I'm definitely with you and the other folks…I RARELY use the app. The most I do is upload a photo to facebook through my phone, at least that is painless. I really hope they spend some time soon and revamp it!

    I think it's great, or at least it was until last week's upgrade. It's not working well now, but neither is the main Facebook site. They obviously have some bugs to work out, but that can't be blamed on the app.

    The app issues this week forced me to browse over to http://m.facebook.com and I think I like using it through the browser better. It is definitely faster.

    The only issues I have had with the FB BB app is after FB has made changes…the FB developers have put out a statement that they are experiencing issues with their APIs which is what is used to stream to the different FB mobile applications. I have been experiencing similar issues with FB directly since the new layout was rolled out. Video support would be nice….

    You are spot on – additionally, everything about the app takes forever and constantly freezes. Sometimes I have to upload pictures 4 or 5 times before it will work. Quite honestly the worst app ever.

    I totally hate the FB app for blackberry. The thing that gets me most is uploading a photo. It NEVER works. Five minutes after uploading a photo, I get a notification that it failed. When the time comes that I really need to post a photo I use the specialized email address linked to my account, that works fine.

    Haven't enjoyed the FB app in awhile. I hardly ever check FB on my Blackberry anymore. Loading time makes it impossible. There was an earlier version, sometime in early 2009 that worked pretty good with my Curve. But the last few upgrades have been horrible.

    I totally like the windows mobile facebook app better! i can tell you, the only thing that appeals to this app is the instant notifications! which ridicuoously misses out few ones everyonce in a while! I'M TOTALLY for a complete overwhole of the thing!

    Not enough goods….i find the web version more practical. Problem is RIM decided they wanted to make the facebook app…iphone left it to facebook hence they have the better app. RIM if you cant develop the app properly give it to someone who can or at least build a better relationship with them so you can make it a worthwhile application

    I hate it! I thought something was wrong with my BlackBerry at first but I now realize it's the new changes that have forced me to uninstall the app. I miss using Facebook from my phone.
