We had RSVP'd a couple of weeks in advance, received a confirmation e-mail in advance, waited in line for over an hour and a half, but were not allowed in because we were not on a select list of sponsors and VIPs. We were turned away when we got to the front of the line. The venue was not even full. The Slacker and FILTER day party at SXSW was a huge slap in the face for non-VIP.
