Great tip. With the contacts renamed, they are all now searchable. So simple I can't believe I haven't done that yet.

I do expect BlackBerry Messenger to act like BlackBerry Contacts if I type the letter 'A' it will show all contacts with the letter A in their name even if their name does not start with A but might be somewhere in the middle. Then filter down on each letter you type in. It's the way search should work and does work on most RIM made software unless there is a bug

If you rename the contact on the “Contact Profile” page they should get rid of the symbols in their name and make them searchable. I agree with you it's a small bug but frustrating when you know someone is in your list and you cannot search for them.

I didn't explain this very well. What I meant to say is:

BBM should know to ignore symbols. If someone has a symbol beside their name, with no spaces, then their name becomes unsearchable. If they put a space, then BBM knows to find the name. Simple "bug" but it really frustrates me.

Also, maybe this is a well-known bug but it drives me crazy: sometimes if a BBM contact has the BlackBerry symbol before their name, they don't show up in the search. Drives me nuts because my friend Thomas has his name: “BBThomas” and when I press “T” he doesn't show up. So I have to scroll through a ton of contacts to get to his name.

So the only change I can see is that Set Local Subject is now called Set Subject in the chat menu. That's all. I'm not even seeing much in the way of performance but I'm sure that's the crux of this update.
