MobileQs is a new trivia game for BlackBerry that has all the elements of a good trivia game such as lots of questions, various difficulties, life lines and high scores. The game is pretty straight forward, just answer the questions and try and progress through the game using as few of your life lines as possible. If you make it through the first 1,100 questions, you can buy the expansion pack and get another 1,100 questions to keep your brain trained. Currently, the game only supports Blackberry 4.6+, support for 4.5 coming soon.
Fine more information about MobileQs in the BlackBerryCool Store.
Grab the 1,100 question expansion pack if you’re finished with part 1.

It was an interesting week at BlackBerryCool because of all the news around the Pearl 9100, the Storm2 and the BlackBerry (Bold?) Slider. The BlackBerry Bold Slider is 100% real and looks like a really interesting form factor move for RIM. As long as the screen ratio is maintained, developers won’t have a hard time accommodating a new form factor, which means there really is no reason to go ahead and see if consumers want it. The only thing that I’m apprehensive about are the tiny keys. The QWERTY keypad looks very cramped which is a deal breaker for me but someone with smaller fingers wouldn’t mind.
Also big news is the rumor (semi confirmed by a BlackBerryCool reader), that the Storm2 is under recall at Verizon and they have received a shipment of new “enhanced touchscreen” devices. If your Storm2 has been unresponsive, bring it in to your local rep and try and get a new device. This could have a pretty big impact on RIM if the recall spreads to other carriers and countries.
The Pearl 9100 has also been in the news a lot this week. It seems the device might be getting a full QWERTY keyboard, which would make the Bold Slider’s look large. There are also rumors that the Pearl Flip is getting a similar update and might also have a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s all up in the air right now but still interesting news pieces.

Want something to do this weekend? How about upgrading your Bold 9700 to OS 5.0.0.536. A leaked version has been popping up in the forums, and I think CB (more mirror links in the thread) had it first.
Download OS 5.0.0.536 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700.
How to upgrade your OS.
Reports of the OS so far are really good. We’re hearing comments like:
- They have fixed the caller ID issue.
- No lock icon unless you have a password.
- Noticed the lock function is different, no more lock icon on the bottom right and when you press it it fades out the screen.
- No East Asian character support.
- Internet seems a lot faster.

MobileSyrup got the scoop on a Limited Edition Bold 9700 that is getting takedown notices all over. My guess is because the posts mention a certain quadrennial event that is known for being outrageously litigious with their brand. Let me just say that this Limited Edition Bold 9700 that celebrates the amazing game of hockey played February 28, 2010, is a sweet BlackBerry that I would box a kangaroo for. If any Future Shop employees want to take me up on that send me an email.

Friday has been pretty packed with rumors flying around so this week’s roundup should be fun. The latest rumor about the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 is that it’s coming to TELUS in both black and pink. Nothing too shocking about the rumor and it’s probably going to turn out true, but it’s a good thing for TELUS customers to know. I know a lot of guys who are pearl users but you can’t deny that a Pearl 9100 in pink is going to be awesome for the teenage girl market.
