More Leaked Pictures of the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 with T9 and SureType

The BlackBerry Pearl 9100 is getting leaked everywhere these days which means we’re coming close to a launch. Leaks are like clockwork: they get released to the ISVs and we see a few advanced leaks. Then they get circulated for testing and we start seeing a bunch more. Give it a month or so and we’ll see this launch. The latest pic from BerryReview shows the 9100 with a T9 keypad input. Another pic after the jump, including one from BBLeaks of the 9100 running on TELUS.

What do you prefer: T9, small QWERTY or SureType?

    Before I moved on to a full-QWERTY device, I loved my previous-gen Pearl with the SureType keyboard. I'd happily use it again, so that's what I'd prefer.

    I'm a full QWERTY person myself and would never go back but if I had to my first BlackBerry was a 7100 so I love the 2 letter per key I found it worked quite well.

    I've never been a SureType hater, having carried a 7100i also alongside my Verizon full QWERTY 'berries of the time. I DO think squeezing full WERTY into the Pearl form factor is going to do nothing but increase the number of BlackBerry haters. People will get all excited about full QWERTY in such a size, only to find out how totally unusable it will be. I can see the potential appeal of T9, but I went from a T9 phone to a SureType (as did my wife) and if I can type fast with my fat thumbs, anyone can. SureType is perfect as it is for the form factor (and it works very well on a portrait Storm), don't mess with it RIM.
