I have tried the Blueant S1 Sun Visor for a few months now and I really do enjoy it. Recently, the popular hands-free laws have taken effect in Ontario, making devices such as this much more needed than ever before. The Blueant S1 Sun Visor features:
Multipoint: connect 2 phones and answers the one that rings
A BlackBerry OS hybrid takes the best of the various OS builds and puts them into a single load. Sometimes an OS version will have a faster browser or menu navigation, and someone capable of building a hybrid OS can extract that app/file and run it on a different OS base. A hybrid OS will also tend to remove extra files that aren’t needed, allowing the device to run a little smoother. The hybrid OS world is something unique to BlackBerry, and it’s something that every BlackBerry user can enjoy getting in to. The average user tends to avoid hybrid builds because they’re not official and can sometimes lead to critical failures. You have to be comfortable enough loading a new OS on your device and restoring a nuked BlackBerry in order to really enjoy the process.
The World Cup has been pretty interesting this year with France already out. If you’re supporting Argentina or Brazil on the other hand, you’re probably going to want a free vuvuzela app for your BlackBerry. This vuvuzela app features:
Ultra loud noises
Optional color
Easy to start and control
You can set it as ringtone in 4.7 or above os (for OS 4.5 and 4.6, you can find the sound file under root folder on SDCard)
Nickel Buddy has just launched a sequel to Anywhere Abs. The new workout routine is called “Anywhere Abs 2: Core Edition”. This sequel is similar to the first in that it’s a timed ab workout. The app features 6 all-new exercises for your core so you can get in shape this summer.
Qype can be described as the European Yelp. The app finds your location and serves restaurant reviews, nightlife suggestions and general crowd-sourced information about your area. Qype is very much community-driven in that it doesn’t use API sets from databases such as OpenTable, but rather relies on purely community input. Since the app doesn’t have a huge presence in North America, it isn’t as useful as if it were used in Germany or the UK. If you’re planning a trip to Europe, this could be the ideal tourist app for you to bring along. Also, you could pioneer a community in North America in your home city. At a recent media event in New York we got a preview of App World 2.0 which is set to launch this summer. Some of the major improvements include carrier billing and new Top 25 sections. These sections, which also break out themes into their own Top 25 section, help to make navigation and app discovery a little easier. Barcodes are also a bigger feature with App World 2.0, allowing you to scan barcodes to download apps. The above video is a nice and quick walkthrough of what to expect in App World 2.0. Too bad they couldn’t show the purchase process though.
